Settecento!
Palazzo Morando / Milano
Palazzo Morando
Milan, city of fashion, dedicates an exhibition to this art form at Palazzo Morando. The exhibition begins with three 18th-century women's dresses, preserved almost intact and belonging to an ancient family from Castiglione delle Stiviere, placed in dialogue with garments, fabrics and accessories from the same period already present in the collections of Palazzo Morando and in the Applied Art Collections of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan.
The exhibition then invites visitors to enter the fascinating world of contemporary fashion inspired by 18th-century taste and luxury. In the contemporary section, visitors can admire dresses from the archives of Dolce&Gabbana, the Gianfranco Ferré Foundation, Max Mara, Versace and Vivienne Westwood, together with stage costumes from the Piccolo Teatro di Milano – Teatro d'Europa, also inspired by the 18th century.
