Romanzo Breve di Moda Maschile
Museo della Moda e del Costume, Palazzo Pitti / Firenze
Fashion and Costume Museum
On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo no. 96, the Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery presents Romanzo Breve di Moda Maschile, an exhibition organized in collaboration with the Gallerie degli Uffizi that stages thirty years of menswear – from 1989 to today – seen through the lens of Pitti Uomo. Page after page, Olivier Saillard narrates, in the spaces of the Museo della Moda e del Costume at Palazzo Pitti, the history and evolution of menswear, intertwining Made in Italy with Guest Designers, the talents of the contemporary international fashion scene with the experiences of major apparel entrepreneurship. The project is dedicated to the memory of Marco Rivetti, President of Pitti Immagine from 1987 to 1995. Romanzo Breve takes shape as an exhibition, a permanent collection, and a book/catalogue, celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of Pitti Immagine.
