From the refined elegance of 1960s bijoux – conceived during the years of the economic boom and growing optimism – to the deconstructed forms of the 1970s reflecting widespread protest movements; from the opulence and display-driven spirit of the 1980s to the restraint of the 1990s and the experimental language of the 2000s, the narrative traces the shifting aesthetics of five transformative decades.
