Da Capri a Capri:
70 anni di storytelling internazionale
Certosa di San Giacomo / Capri
Rai Prix Italia
For the celebrations of the Prix Italia, the exhibition Da Capri a Capri: 70 anni di storytelling internazionale (From Capri to Capri: 70 Years of International Storytelling) opens on September 25. Dresses by some of the most important names in Made in Italy and in the history of Italian fashion – including Renato Balestra, Rocco Barocco, Roberto Capucci, Enrico Coveri, Livio De Simone, Gianfranco Ferré, Irene Galitzine, Isaia, André Laug, Missoni, La Parisienne, Emilio Pucci, and Valentino – return to the place where they were first presented in front of television cameras, in an unprecedented itinerary that brings together unique garments and unforgettable songs.
The exhibition is set up to celebrate the significant anniversary of the Prix Italia, the television competition promoted by Rai and born precisely on the island of the sirens in 1948. Five galleries narrate, through images, sounds, and a meticulously selected series of garments and objects inspired by Capri – and documented by Rai through its footage and reporting – the transformation of the island from an exclusive retreat for a few into a global pop icon.
